The batteries will be delivered with a very good charge in them, but even so your you will still need to give them a full charge before using for the first time, the period of this initial charge before use need only be until the charger states they are ready, it probably will not take long, do not be impatient, wait until this first charge has completed before thinking about using the equipment, it will contribute to overall battery life
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, after you have used your equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, do not attempt to deliberately discharge the batteries, it will only do them harm and will reduce the life span, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and do not put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
The battery type is AGM which is short for absorbed glass mat construction, they are also valve regulated, they means they can be used electric vehicles around the home or on the road without the fear of any leakage, with deep cycle properties that this type of installation would require, they will require no maintenance throughout their entire life span and are not-hazardous so safe for travelling including by air but you should check with your airline at point of booking your ticket
