If you leave it on the bike you do not know what is slowly draining it down, a wet joint can cause a slow discharge quite easily and things like alarms or immobilisers will do this even quicker, we also recommend that once the battery is charged that it is removed from the charger, we do not recommend trickle chargers as the quality of many available can differ.
