The XL1200 Sportster custom is a mid ranged cruiser, for a Harley Davidson that is, its bigger than the 883 but not as heavy as the 1350cc plus machines, if its what you like you wouldn't look at anything else, its a 1200cc four valve V-Twin air cooled engine over a five speed transmission box. In 1997 there were some changes and a different battery pack was installed, this offer is from then onwards, this bike is all about taking it easy, its has a unmistakable gurgle that is very different to any Japanese bike and that why people like them, you cannot compare the breeds so do not try.

Once fitted they will be enough power to start a normal working engine, but do ensure you take if for a good ride afterwards to replenish the energy.

Many of these only get ridden on bright sunny days, which after all is the best time, but that means they do not get used much and the battery will slowly discharge, the best advise we can give it to remove it when not being used for long periods, charge and do so again every six weeks but do not leave on a charger 24/7
