This is a AGM type of battery, it is technically absorbed glass mat, this means that the electrolyte or acid that it found in batteries is embedded within a glass mat that lays between the plates in the cells on order to separate them. This means that there is no liquid so they can be mounted on the side without fear of any liquid dripping on to your frame work, they are valve regulated, this means that if there should be any gases created during charging they can escape.

Please Note: The battery supplied will be a AGM version, it needs zero maintenance, non-spillable, no topping up with fluid and have the same output but 20mm shorter so it should be easier to fit.
