The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but your UPS will still need to complete a full service charge, so it will follow that there will be a short period of time where you do not have the full runtime protection that your UPS could possibly offer you until it has completed this operation, you probably just want to install and leave the system to its devices but its best to run the system without a load to so it can properly reset
A fair assumption of battery life in a UPS is between two to five years, the usage over time however will determine this, ventilation is important, best placed to site would be in an air conditioned communications room, batteries will in general get hot if the heat cannot disperse it will shorten life span, try and keep the constant load below 40%, while it may well be capable of much more it will shorten the battery life so it's a balancing act
