APC RBC48 battery replacement Smart-UPS cartridge batteries.
Replacement APC RBC48 battery pack: a set of two rechargeable batteries for many Smart-UPS and BackUPS systems. It is easy to fit and saves money, and it is supplied directly from the warehouse.
This is a straightforward pack to fit your UPS, and you will save yourself loads of money doing it yourself. We will tell you how below; you should refer to your manual for any further information.
The first job is to shut down any equipment your UPS is powering.
Then power down your UPS and remove the power lead.
The front panel will pull off; sometimes, you might have to gently use a flat-edged screwdriver at the top of the side, as the screws can stick.
You will then see a cover; two or four screws hold some of these, and others have a couple of plastic lugs; whatever you have, the door will pull down, and you will see the battery pack, usually with a handle attached to pull them out.
Once on the bench or desk, you will easily be able to see the four cables connecting them; just lay your new batteries next to them, take off the plastic terminal connectors if they have them and swap the batteries over, then just put them back in and put the doors back on in the reverse order.
We expect the whole job to take no more than five or six minutes, and you will have saved loads of money by doing it yourself.
This pack contains a pair of 12v 7ah batteries; they are valve-regulated sealed lead acid batteries, non-hazardous and perfectly matched for your UPS system.
The individual batteries are 151mm long x 94mm high x 65mm wide; these are safe for recycling; more information can be found on our recycle page, which you will find a link for below.
