APC RBC33 battery replacement for cartridge module.
Replacement APC RBC33 UPS battery pack, a pair of batteries for cartridge module, easy to fit yourself at low prices, save money.

The RBC33 or #33 cartridge module is used in quite a few APC UPS systems, it is two batteries joined together one on top of each other with one of them inverted, It is quite simple to change over with new batteries saving you money in the meantime, we will try to explain the simple steps below, you should, of course, refer to your owners manual for more information.

  • APC RBC33 battery

If your UPS is protecting a server or some other sort of vital equipment shut it down first, then power down the UPS and remove the power lead, it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Lay the UPS on its side, the bottom half of the front panel (if it was still upright) will then slide down exposing the battery pack, you will see a plug that needs to be pulled apart, it can sometimes seem like its stuck but it will come apart, then a gentle tug on the cable and the battery pack will slide out, note that the lead is one side of the batteries and when you put it back it will only go back the same way due to the groove in the casing.

Then you will have the pack in front of you, its actually two batteries one on top of the other and the top one is upside down, they are taped together, just run a sharp blade carefully on either side of the plastic section between them and both sides and they will come apart.

Both the batteries have two cables, take note of the way they are wired, remove the cables and put them onto the new batteries ( the new batteries may have a plastic protector on them, ensure you remove these first ), then just apply a piece of tape to hold them together before putting back in the UPS, and put back together, this should not take more than five or ten minutes.

Not-spillable - suitable for tower or rack-mountable configurations.
Non-hazardous - safe for use in mission-critical installations, hospitals, data centres or homes and offices.

often seen in the following uninterruptible power supplies
Back-UPS RS1500, BR1500I XS1500, BX1500, BR1200, SC1000I.

This pack has two batteries for the RBC33, the batteries are VRLA and AGM technology, will not spill and are non-hazardous, they are recyclable.
There are two batteries in this set for the APC RBC33, individual sizes of the batteries are as follows:
Long - 151mm
