There are two batteries in this set for APC Smart-UPS DLA1000INET.
The batteries that we will send out to you will be almost fully charged. However, the system will still need to finish off a full service charge, you should of course be aware that while this is happening the system will not be able to offer the full backup runtime period until its finished, we know it may not be convenient as everything is completed a rush but if you can its best to run the system without any load to start.
In this UPS you could expect the batteries to last somewhere between two to five years, this will be very dependent on the use and the way the system is stored, using the UPS system as part of the office furniture, putting boxes on it is not the best idea, it needs good ventilation, the batteries will in general use get very hot as they are working hard 24-hours a day, the more heat the shorter their life, the higher the load the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%
These are valve-regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak, so there is no problem installing them in tower or rack systems, as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA. They are not hazardous and are safe for busy data centres and the home office.
