We are pleased to offer two batteries for the Pride Jazzy Select, 6 and 7 and Jazzy-LX mobility Powerchair. They are valve-regulated lead acid batteries and AGM, so they will not spill even if laid on their side. They are also not hazardous, so safe for use on public transport and flights, although you should always check with your airline at the time of booking.

There are two batteries in this set for the above powerchairs.
Valve regulated lead acid - VRLA.
Absorbed glass mat - AGM.

Need no maintenance.
Because these batteries are sealed, they require no maintenance whatsoever. But that does not mean any charging. If you value your new purchase, then keep them charged. Charge before and after every use. it is far better to do this than to leave them sitting around partially discharged. This will only shorten their life of them. If they are not being used, recharge every six weeks to keep the cells fresh.
Never attempt to discharge them deliberately fully; it will not reset them. It will only shorten their expected life span of them.
Please ensure that when your new batteries have eventually come to the end of your natural life, you divert them to a recycling centre for processing. It is a recyclable product, and nearly all the cells can be processed, so it is an excellent thing to do.
