This offer is for two valve-regulated sealed batteries for the APC Dell Smart-UPS 1500 DLA1500I, 1500VA USB 490-watt system. These are also AGM-type batteries and not hazardous, so that they can be mounted on the side. Although that is not required in this tower system, it is nice to know they cannot leak over other delicate and expensive office equipment.

The fitting of the batteries is relatively straightforward. You may want to obtain the assistance of a professional, but they are user replacements, and it's not very difficult. We will give you a few tips here that may help you. After unpacking the parcel you ordered from us, place the two batteries in the box on a bench near where you are doing the work. Shut down all and any computers or other delicate equipment that you are protecting behind this interrupted power supply, then shut down the UPS and remove all the cables, taking particular care to remove the mains power lead from the socket, so there is no chance of making a mistake with such electricity.
Now you should be able to pull the front cover off. It just pulls forward off. Sometimes it can be challenging to get your fingernails behind it, so a flat screwdriver can be used to ease it off gently, once it has popped off, you will see that it is attached via a ribbon lead, but with enough slack for you to be able to pull it out of the way, you will now see the battery door, sometimes these are held shut with two Phillips screws, it is just a pull off clip, either way, remove this obstacle and pull the door down and remove, then pull out the batteries, swap over the connectors to the new batteries and put back in reverse order, it will probably take ten maybe fifteen minutes if you take your time.
We would suggest you run your UPS up without any load, to begin with, at least until the batteries are shown as fully charged, preferably longer overnight, would be great. While we know this may not always be possible in an ideal world, this would be best as this will help reset the UPS to the new energy level in the batteries.
