The following information has been compiled to help you consider purchasing a new replacement compatible battery for the Firstpower FP612. With a capacity of 1.2Ah, these 6V cells are also capable of deep cycling. They are rechargeable, which is an essential requirement in this type of installation. After you unpack your new Firstpower FP612 battery order, you'll find it has a reasonable charge. Please still complete a full charge before first use. The only time you do not need to do this is if it's going into something with its always-connected power supply, such as an alarm system, which will handle the charging for you. Just charge them until the LED lights on your charger indicate they are ready. It will probably not take very long. Do not just install and use without this initial charge unless, as stated above, doing so can shorten the expected lifespan, and it's well worth it.
