When you place an order and it is delivered to you the batteries will be almost fully charged, but regardless of this you should still complete a charge them before first use, if the battery is being fitted in something with its own built in always connected mains supply like an alarm system then you can miss this step as it will do a better job of charging it than you. do not need to leave it on for hours on end, its almost fully charged. it will probably not take very long at all depending on the charger. just until the charger has indicated that it has finished, you may well be impatient and want to use the equipment without charging for the first time but it's worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend the overall life expectancy.
