Even though the batteries you receive from us will be just about fully charged you should still complete a full charge before first use, If you are fitting this battery as a backup in something that is always connected to the mains, such as a home or commercial alarm system then you can skip this step, the charger will have LED lights which will indicate whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready, probably not very long at all, do not just use without this initial charge, unless as stated above, doing so can shorten expected life span, it's well worth doing
It will probably not even be apparent but it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the battery is conditioned and capable of receiving a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, you should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use if being used in a portable device, do not leave them sitting in a semi discharged state any period unless necessary, never go out of your way to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
These 12-volt batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without any issues so suitable for use in portable devices, deep cycle capable which of course is essential in electric powered devices, no leaking, which means they can be used indoors or medical environments, they are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology they are not-hazardous so safe
