Your new battery will be delivered almost fully charged. If it is going into something that requires outside intervention to instigate a charge, by that, we mean that it needs someone to plug it in every time it needs charging. Then we recommend that you charge when it arrives and first use, and charge after each use. Do not leave it sitting in a partially discharged state. If it is not being used for long periods, recharge every six weeks to overcome the slow self-discharge that occurs with all rechargeable batteries but leave it on the charger for at most eight hours. Just charge until fully charged and no more.
