When your order is delivered, the batteries will be almost fully charged. However, regardless of this, you should still complete a charge before first use. this will not be necessary if being fitted in something that is always connected to the mains like a home or commercial alarm system which will do the job for you. The charge time will depend on your charger. Just leave it on until it indicates it's finished. This first step is essential, so do not ignore it. Doing so can shorten the expected life span.

You probably will not notice it, but it will take a few charges and use your equipment before receiving a full capacity charge in your batteries. This is quite a normal part of the conditioning process. After using your batteries, you should get a charge back into it as soon as possible. Please do not leave it sitting in a partially discharged state for longer than necessary. Removing the batteries entirely will only reduce life expectancy. You cannot kick start this kind of battery that way; it will do them no good and cost you money in the long run. These batteries need to be kept charged. So if there is any reason they are not used, ensure they are charged beforehand and then every four weeks but do not leave them on a charger for more than twenty-four hours.
