Replacement Max-power PC12-2 battery pack, rechargeable 12v 2.1ah sealed lead acid, safe non-spillable so can be used in portable devices as well as alarm systems, security lighting, hoists and so on, valve regulated VRLA batteries with advanced AGM technology at low competitive cost
When your order is delivered the batteries will be almost fully charged, but regardless of this you should still complete a charge them before first use, the only time you do not need to do this is if it's going into something with its own always connected power supply, for example a home or commercial alarm system, as this will do the job of charging for you, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, it will probably not take very long, do not just use them without this initial charge, it will help to extend the battery life overall
It's not something that most will even notice but it will take a few charges and use in the equipment before a full capacity charge is reached, it's all part of the normal conditioning process, once you have used your batteries put them back on charge, do not let them sit in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, we have heard of people trying to extend battery life by running them down, fully discharging your new batteries will only reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, this will cost you money in the long run, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
These batteries are deep cycle capable, which is essential in this type of application, the VRLA and AGM cells will not leak and not-hazardous so suitable for travelling, there is not maintenance required, except of course charging which we have covered on this page, both VRLA and AGM
Ensure that you order the right battery by carefully checking the information, a lot of them are very similar so it can be easy to make a mistake, if in doubt check the old battery, the dimensions and anything written on the side of them, we have included the physical size so you can double check, These 12v 2.1ah batteries are recyclable, the main component is lead which can easily be recycled, more information on this can be found at the bottom on this page on our recycling link
