Looking after AGM batteries
The batteries are maintenance-free and thus do not require daily charging; however, they must be charged. If at all possible, charge your new batteries completely before the first use, and even more importantly, after each use. Allowing them to be discharged to less than 20% capacity will go a long way toward extending the battery's life. Charge every four weeks if not in use to slow down the natural self-discharge.
Please keep in mind that we have seen some versions of this battery with reversed terminals on rare occasions. This means that when you facing the battery with terminals closest to you the positive is on the left rather than the right. Unfortunately, this is not available in the UK; however, we recommend attempting to make this version work by installing it in a different orientation or by extending the wires.
