The Long WP30-12T & WP30-12TNE replacement batteries are maintenance-free and thus do not need to be charged daily; however, they must be charged. Charge your new batteries completely before the first use and, even more importantly, after each use, if at all possible. Allowing them not to be discharged to less than 20% capacity will help to extend the battery's life significantly. If not in use, charge every four weeks to slow down the natural self-discharge.
Please remember that on rare occasions, we have seen some versions of this Long WP30-12T & WP30-12TNE battery with reversed terminals. This means that when you face the battery with the terminals closest to you, the positive is on the left, not the right. Unfortunately, this product is unavailable in the United Kingdom; however, we recommend attempting to make this version work by installing it in a different orientation or extending the wires.
