The batteries that you obtain from us will be almost fully charged, but you should still charge them fully before first use, however if it's a battery backup for something that's always connected to the mains like an alarm or UPS system then you do not need to charge it first as the system will do that for you, while you only need to charge until it indicates that its ready, it probably will not take long and it is very important so not a step you should overlook, you may well just want to fit them and use the equipment, but do not miss this first step if needed, it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it may well contribute to over life span
