Looking after your new batteries
The batteries will be partially charged when they arrive, but you must charge them before using them. The following pointers are also important; you must charge after each use. Do not try to drain the battery; just because it is capable of deeper discharges does not mean you should test it to that extent; doing so will only shorten the battery's life expectancy and cost you money in the long run. Always leave at least a 20% charge if possible. A four-week top-up charge will keep the cells fresh if you are not actively using the batteries for any reason. However, do not leave the charger on for any longer than necessary.
Please be aware that we have seen some versions of this battery with reversed terminals, but only on rare occasions. This means that when facing the battery, the positive terminal is on the left rather than the right. Unfortunately, this product is not available in the United Kingdom; however, you can try installing it in a different orientation or extending the wires to see if it will work. The battery you will receive is similar to the one shown in the image.
