You are no doubt fully aware you need a new battery, the normal cause is not because its worn out, unless you have been using it every day for the last eighteen months, if fact its normally the opposite, lack of use and charging.
You will find your new battery will take time to settle in, somewhere up to eight or nine charges and reasonable use in your cordless power tool before the battery will be conditioned for extended use and be able to take a full capacity charge, it is better to complete this with the first two weeks if you can. Thereafter charge after every use and before its put away, if you are not using the power tool for long periods then charge the battery pack every four to six weeks to ensure that a full charge is in the cells, its when they are not charged that the cells start to become less able to receive one in future and spells the early demise of a otherwise healthy cell.
