Most of these will spend the cold winters under cover, with some protection for the chrome, you also need to consider the needs of the battery, it will if not being used for a long period begin to degrade, so best advice if you are able it to remove it from the chassis so there is no chance of a loose connection draining down the power and recharge it every four to six weeks so come the following summer it’s in good order to fire up your bike.
Charge your new battery when it arrives and first use, and make sure you give it a good run after starting, it will as does all rechargeable batteries take a few uses before its capable of accepting a full capacity charge this is quite normal
