If you do not ride your V-Rod all year round, and lets face it who would blame you, we do not have the nicest winters, then you need to take care of your battery while its off the road, our best advice would be to disconnect from the frame and recharge every six weeks then remove from charger, this should keep it in good condition for the following spring. Many people use optimisers, not something we would do and with the amount of people that state they have and have a dead battery the following summer its not something we would recommend.
