How to extend the life of your SRT5KRMXLI batteries?
The batteries on offer here are non-hazardous, sealed lead acid, valve regulated absorbed glass mat which means they are leak proof and can be fitted on their side, making it ideal for installing into UPS systems. The UPS obviously has its own charging system which is a great start as the machine will do a much better job at charging than any human can. You should run the system without load directly after installation as this will help them calibrate to the new set up. Other tips on extending battery life are making sure the system has good ventilation and is clear of dust, stored in a climate controlled room and using less than 40% load where possible. You should expect somewhere between two to five year life but these simple tips can help extend the life of them.
