It is important to replace your batteries when the UPS is telling you, this will either be a noise or a light, and this should be done at least every five years. If you have an uninterruptible power supply, (especially a large one that can take this extended battery module) then you obviously have important data that needs protecting from power surges, spikes and other electrical problems. If you have an external battery pack fitted to your UPS it greatly increases the length of time that it is able to provide you power for when the power inevitably goes down.
This pack of batteries is compatible to the originals and easy to replace using all the original cables and connections. They are sealed lead-acid, non-hazardous and absorbed glass mat or AGM for short and environmentally friendly. Being recyclable (as they are predominantly made of lead) please direct them to a local recycling centre so they can be made into another useful product. They are safe to be used or stored on their side as there is nothing to leak, ideal for machines such as a an uninterruptable power supply.

How to ensure you get the maximum life from APC SRT96BP batteries
Batteries installed into UPS machines have a good start in their useable life as the maintaining of voltage of them is controlled by a computer and not a human. There are things that you can do to help however. Firstly, you should run the system without any load as this will help the batteries reset to their new home. Other things you can do to help is to not use less than 40% load where possible and making sure where it is stored is climate controlled and has at least decent ventilation.
Installation of SRT96RMBP batteries
You would know the batteries need replacing as the UPS will either make a noise informing you or a light will appear on the front of the machine, no not delay in replacing them as they do an important job. Installation of these extended runtime battery packs and are fairly simple and not many tools are needed but if need be please seek advice from an engineer.
