Tips on looking after your new TGA-Ibex batteries
When you receive your new batteries they will be more or less fully charged however you still need to charge until full before first use. If you aren’t going to use the scooter for long periods then to help slow down the natural self-discharge rate charge every four weeks. Most importantly, charge after every single use, never leave in a discharged state as this will cause irreparable damage.
Looking to upgrade TGA-Ibex batteries?
The batteries on offer here are a pair of 12v 50ah AGM batteries however we are able to offer an upgrade from this to a 40ah GEL. These will not only provide more miles per charge as they can discharge slightly more than regular AGM but also can take the abuse of discharging more so should last longer overall if treated correctly. Installation
The hardest part about installing these batteries is often the weight of them, they are heavy because of all the lead content inside. There isn’t any special tools needed for this, perhaps a screwdriver and some patience. They will be stored underneath the seat and should be fairly simple to get to.
