How to charge and maintain your new Pride-Raptor batteries?
Despite the fact that our batteries are delivered in a more or less fully charged state, you should charge until full before the first use, which shouldn’t take too long. More importantly, never leave the battery discharged; charge as soon as possible after each use until full, and never completely drain the battery. Although power chairs are many people's lifelines to the outside world, they may be stored or not used for a while. If this is the case, charge your batteries every five weeks to slow down the natural discharge rate that all rechargeable batteries have.
Installation and user manual
The batteries are stored underneath the seat in the Pride Raptor mobility scooter and replacing them is fairly straight forward. Instructions on how to do this can be found on the user manual that we have available for download on the downloads tab. This also has details on the scooter that any owner of this scooter should have readily available.
Recyclable
These sealed lead AGM batteries can be mounted on their side, making them (and your old ones) environmentally friendly and recyclable. Please take them to your local recycling centre when they have reached the end of their useful life so that they can be transformed into something new and continue on their green journey.
