How to charge and maintain Fortress-Calypso scooter batteries?
Although GEL batteries can withstand more charging and discharging than regular batteries, they still need to be cared for. This can be accomplished by charging upon delivery and, most importantly, charging after each use. If they are not used for 6-weeks or so, a top-up charge will help extend their life; however, they should never be left on charge for more than 24-hours.

Lead or Pb is able to be recycled and you should do your bit for the earth by ensuring that they are directed to a suitable location where this can happen. Upgrading your batteries
The standard fit batteries for this mobility scooter are a pair of 40ah GEL and that’s what is on offer here however Sunrise-Medical highly recommends that they should be upgraded to 60ah. The GEL 60ah will allow you to travel much further distances and will last longer overall if treated correctly.
