The Monarch-MM8 or sometimes called Monarch-Marvel by the company has full suspension allows it to easily handle varying terrain. Looking after your new batteries for Monarch-MM8
Maintenance of your new batteries is fairly simple but depending on whom you ask you may get a different answer. Following these few simple tips will help ensure that your new batteries can provide the service that you expect. Firstly, upon delivery and before first use, you must charge the batteries until full. As our batteries will be dispatched with more or less full charge this may only take ten minutes but could take much longer. Secondly and most importantly, charge after every use and never leave in a discharged state, this is where the most damage is often done. Lastly, if there is a period of four weeks or so when the mobility scooter will not be in use then of course charge before putting away and recharging every month.

Installation
Installing the batteries may sound scary but surprising it’s actually quite simple, the hardest part will be the actual weight of them. You will need to remove the seat, this is usually done with a lever or by rotating it. Now the plastic shroud needs to be lifted off and underneath you will see the two separate batteries. We suggest taking a photo of how they are connected so you have something to refer back to when connecting up the new ones.

Can you upgrade?
The standard batteries for the Monarch-MM8 or often called the Monarch-Marvel is a pair of twelve volts, fifty ampere AGM. The page is offering them however you will notice we have some upgrades available, the GEL and the LiFePO4 lithium. These are both worth a look as they are the same physical size and manufactured to a high standard, therefore will allow for longer use in between charges.
