Maintenance of your new RBC161 battery
The expected lifespan of these lead-acid batteries is 3-5 years, according to APC. This figure is heavily dependent on how the UPS is used and stored. A dust-free climate-controlled room would be ideal but if you own a small device such as this is, it would be reasonable to expect you do not have one dedicated to such a machine. Rather, make an effort to keep the vents clean, as dust frequently piles up around them (possibly use a vacuum now and then). In addition, we suggest using less than 40% load whenever possible and running without any load after installation to allow the batteries to settle into their new home.
Installation and user manual
