Uninterruptible power supply machines are becoming increasingly important in today's world. These high-quality replacement batteries are designed for use in Uninterruptible power supply devices and should last somewhere between two and five years, this correlates with what APC recommend. It varies so greatly as it all depends on how hard the batteries work and how they are maintained. The UPS has its own charging system so that’s a great start but there are a few things you can do to help. Firstly, after installation make sure to run the UPS without any load. Secondly, do not use the UPS as a table. Try to keep the vents clear and in a well-ventilated space. Larger UPS machines will have whole climate-controlled rooms dedicated to them. Lastly, where possible, try to keep the load less than 40%.
Installation and user guide
Replacing the pair of batteries in this UPS is a simple task that most people are capable of completing. To begin, make sure nothing is plugged into the UPS and that all wires are unplugged. The battery compartment can be accessed at the bottom of the UPS so tip the machine over so the door is visible. Slide the door up and remove the battery, paying close attention to where the wires go to not damage them. Remove these wires and put your old battery pack to one side. Connect your new batteries with the existing wires and carefully slide them into the UPS. Secure with the door and allow the UPS to run without any load so the batteries can get comfortable in their new surroundings. Environmentally Friendly
Sealed lead batteries, as it says in the name, have plenty of lead in them. This is what makes them heavy and it’s also what makes them recyclable. They can easily be converted into a different product if taken to the correct facility, your local recycling centre should have an area where you can take these. All of this also applies to the old batteries that you are replacing so please help to protect our planet.
