The batteries that come as standard are a pair of twelve volt, forty ampere absorbed glass mat (AGM). This page is offering a pair of rechargeable, non-hazardous, sealed AGM fifty ampere in the same physical size so a huge improvement over the originals. How to extend the life of your Pride ZT10 batteries
Charge your batteries to prolong their life and save money. You must fully charge them upon receiving and before the first use. If not used for an extended period of time, you must charge it as soon as possible after each use and top it up every eight weeks. Never leave them plugged in continuously because this wastes energy and causes unnecessary damage. The worst thing you can do is try to drain all of the energy; this will significantly reduce the life of sealed lead batteries.
Environmentally Friendly
As the name implies, sealed lead batteries contain lead. Lead is a valuable resource that can be used in a wide range of products all over the world, but extracting it from the earth is costly. When you are finished with your old batteries, please recycle them at your local recycling centre. Please ensure that this happens to your new batteries after they have done their job for many years.
