Abilize-Pursuit battery replacement for power chair
Replacement battery pack for Abilize-Pursuit power chair, high quality sealed lead rechargeable compatible batteries delivered to your door
The foldable form of the Pursuit electric wheelchair makes storage and travelling simple. Put the electric chair in the trunk of your car by simply folding it into a manageable shape. Ideal for days out, or when not in use, store it out of the way. Your travel will be comfortable thanks to the padded seat and movable backrest of the Pursuit Powerchair. Everything you need is available right at your fingers on the control panel. While the highly responsive joystick helps you manoeuvre through crowded spaces, both indoors and outside, the power button with an integrated speed dial keeps you in control of the speed.
The batteries are on the larger size for a wheelchair of this size. They are twelve-volt, thirty-five ampere, sealed lead, AGM, and rechargeable batteries.
Replacing the batteries is not a difficult job however, the batteries may be a little heavy, weighing about 11kg each. They are stored inside the black box underneath the Abilize Pursuit and should be taken off the scooter to change them. A screwdriver should be the only tool you need in order to open this box however, please seek advice from a professional if need be.
Maintenance advice:
You should take care of the brand-new batteries you just purchased for your mobility scooter. They don't require any maintenance, but they do need a regular charging schedule, which is surprisingly easy if you follow a few guidelines. Before using them for the first time, charge them fully upon arrival, but never for longer than twenty-four hours. Charge them fully before removing them after each use. There is no need to recharge the batteries again before use because they can retain their full charge for a good few weeks. If a month goes by without use, a top up charge will help keep the cells fresh.
Recyclable:
Recycling is very important these days and when you can recycle, you should. Batteries are filled with lead, hence the name sealed lead acid (SLA), which is a valuable resource taken from earth. This lead can be stripped from the old batteries and used to make something new so please direct them to your local recycling centre.
