Our battery has the required Flag-type upright terminals that take an M5 nut and bolt as in the picture above.
These are Valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and AGM VRLA. This means they will not leak any liquid but vented for any excess gas produced if overcharged. They can safely be mounted on the side and used in portable devices.
Being that this battery has nut and bolt terminals, they will not easily be found compared to the more usual terminals, so look after them. Charge fully when the battery arrives and is first used. If there will be extended periods where it's not being used, then recharge every six weeks. If it is going into something that does not have its own charging circuit, then recharge as soon as you can after each use, it will do the cells no good whatsover, if they are allowed to sit is a discharged state.
The battery requires no maintenance, but that does not mean it it can be ignored, we have tried to give you some usful charging tips above that should be observed, lack of attention to its needs will mean a shorter life span.
