These are often used in banks of batteries to create the required voltage and capacity. Where this is the case, you should carefully consider whether you should not replace the whole bank rather than just one. The only real way of testing a deep-cycle battery is on a capacity tester, which is not something most will have in the workshop. An automotive drop tester is unsuitable, and a volt meter will only tell you half the story.
Looking after your new JLG PT-E-002 & PT-E-002AGM battery is important. The best general advice would probably be to charge it as soon as you can after every use, and if you are certain there is no parasitic drain of any sort, then every six weeks if it is not being used.
Chemistry: Flooded, wet (AGM version can be selected above)
Voltage: 12v per battery
Capacity: 105ah @ 20Hr.
The AGM PT-E-002AGM available above as an alternate to the JLG PT-E-002 is the same physical size with increased ampere. However, the main benefit of using sealed batteries is the lack of liquid you have to maintain. AGM is classed as maintenance-free, but you do, of course, still need to charge them. Do not mix the chemistries within the same bank.
