These Kawasaki KAF820 & KAF950 Mule models rely on high-performance 12-volt AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries, designed to handle the vibration and demands of off-road use. AGM batteries are spill-proof, vibration-resistant, and capable of holding a charge longer than conventional batteries, making them ideal for the challenging conditions these Mule models face.
To maintain optimal Kawasaki KAF820 & KAF950 Mule battery performance, keep the terminals clean and free of corrosion, and check connections periodically, especially if the vehicle is used in tough conditions. Charging an AGM battery is straightforward, but for best performance, use a compatible smart charger, especially if the vehicle sits idle for extended periods. For the diesel-powered KAF950, an AGM battery is especially advantageous, as it provides more reliable cold starts and greater resilience for heavy-duty use.
