To maximize the performance and lifespan of your SR1000S batteries, it's important to follow a few best practices. Always charge the batteries fully before their first use and recharge them after every cleaning session to prevent deep discharge, which can degrade battery life. Use a charger that matches the specifications of your battery type, and avoid overcharging by monitoring the charging process if the charger lacks an automatic shut off.
For long-term storage, periodically top up the batteries every few weeks instead of leaving them continuously connected to the charger. This prevents sulphating and helps maintain their efficiency.
Looking to Upgrade to GEL?
There are a few different available battery options for the SR1000S. The standard, which are wet, flooded batteries are the cheapest but also require the most maintenance. We are also able to offer GEL upgrades, similar to what Nilfisk suggests for these types of machines. GEL batteries provide superior durability, better resistance to deep discharge, and require no maintenance, making them a hassle-free option. With identical dimensions to standard SLA batteries, the transition to GEL is simple and straightforward.
