Sherborne offers a Multi-use Battery Back-up system as an optional accessory for some their electric recliners and riser recliners. This rechargeable battery pack ensures that your recliner remains operational for approximately 10 to 15 complete cycles in the event of a power failure.

Replacing the battery yourself will be a simple job, requiring only basic knowledge, a pair of hands and a screwdriver. The batteries are stored in within a black box attached to the frame of the chair, there will be a wire coming from this box which connects to the rest of the power system. Open this box using the screwdriver to take out the screws, and inside, you will see two separate batteries. Simply swap these with the new batteries offered on this page, put the cover back on and screws in and that’s it!

While Sherborne recliners come standard with a single-use emergency backup, the Multi-use Battery backup provides extended functionality, allowing multiple operations without immediate recharging.
