The Schumacher SOS Boost 2400/1200CA is a top-of-the-range industrial portable booster pack. They are used in commercial environments that require extra energy and reliability. The pack will last for many years, but the batteries will need to change in time.
The pair of batteries on offer here offer enormous cranking power and deep cycle reserve power, whereas other batteries usually only offer one or the other. Produced by the leading manufacturer of AGM batteries, the flat plates inside are made of 99% pure lead, which means they can be made thinner, meaning more can fit into the battery and, in turn, more power. This battery is only used for bits of kit that require an enormous amount of energy while still being lightweight such as racing cars and booster kits.
Look after your new batteries, charge them as soon as you can after every use, and do not let them sit in a discharged state for any longer than absolutely needed. If they are not being used, then recharge every six weeks. Do not leave on the charger for any longer than required to get a full capacity charge. In keeping with any rechargeable battery, it will take about ten charges and associated use before it is able to accept a full-capacity charge.
