Using a compatible smart charger will help prevent overcharging and optimize battery health. Also, if not being used for a five weeks, top up with charge to keep it from self discharging. Proper disposal of old batteries is equally important—lead-acid batteries should be recycled at designated facilities to minimize environmental impact.
