The Karma Kameleon is a Powerchair or electric Paediatric wheelchair that is highly customisable to its environment and user, with a modular structure and extensive control options that can be adapted for use from a toddler to a young adult.
The manual quotes the Karma Kameleon can be offered with a 50ah battery and that is what the page is for, but as the battery forms part of the ballast of the chair we personally think the 75ah, 85ah or 92ah upgrade (which is avaiable above under options) is well worth considering, not only for the ballast and balance it would provide, but the longer runtime too that may well be needed for growing children.
Charging and maintaining these Karma Kameleon batteries is not a complicated task, despite all the different information you may find online.
There are just a few simple rules to follow. First and most importantly, fully charge it as soon as possible after every use. If you take nothing else away from this page, remember this: leaving it discharged is the quickest way to damage it. Secondly, there may be longer periods when the Karma Kameleon batteries aren’t used; just charge them once a month to keep the cells fresh and ready for subsequent use.
