We have tried to list here the relevant information to help you make the decision of purchasing new mobility batteries for your Hoveround HRV 100, the power supply uses these storage batteries, they are 34-amp hour batteries, it uses 2 x 12-volt batteries, they are replacements for them which are of course rechargeable, deep cycle capable and they're sealed and will not spill any liquids, so safe to use indoors, they are AGM and VRLA offering a long life, more information on the chemistry of them will be found below
Upon receipt of your mew battery order you will note that they have a good charge, but you will still need to charge them before using for the first time, there should be no need for many hours, just until your charger indicates they are ready, this will of course depend on the charger capabilities, do not be impatient, wait until this first charge has completed before thinking about using the equipment, it will contribute to overall battery life
Unless you are a very extended user your will probably not even notice that it can take a number of charge and use in your equipment before a full capacity charge is achieved, this is all part of the conditioning process, allowing your new batteries to sit without charge is not a good idea, as soon as you have finished using it put it back on charge, discharging the batteries fully will only reduce their life expectancy, it will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and do not put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These 12-volt batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without any issues so suitable for use in electric vehicles, deep cycle capable which of course is essential in electric powered devices, no leaking, which means they can be used indoors at well as the road or pavement, they are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology they are not-hazardous so safe for airlines but you should check with them when you book your flight
