The Pride Go-Chair is a mobility wheelchair or powerchair that breaks down into smaller parts for ease of transport. The parts individually are easier to put in the back of a car or other form of transport and offer the user more freedom than a conventional chair offers. Which by default are considerably larger and heavier and of course not possible to break down into smaller pieces with such convenience.

The standard-fit is for a pair of 12v 12ah batteries which combine in the chair to offer 24v. Our batteries are non-hazardous and sealed and deemed safe for travel on all forms of transport. You should of course though confirm this with any particular airline in case they have specific requirements, far better this than to deal with it at check-in.
The batteries require no maintenance but that does not mean they do not need charging. This kind of battery is capable of many thousands of charges, but only if it is discharged and small amount. Therefore you should charge after every use, never leave the battery partially discharged and if not used for long periods charge every four to six weeks as all rechargeable batteries will lose a percentage of their charge every month which needs replacing.
These batteries have a high level of lead which makes them perfect for recycling, please ensure they are indeed recycled. It is great for the environment and a very green method of power, you will find more information about recycling on our recycle page.
The voltage of the batteries is 12v, two of them combine in your chair to provide 24v.

We can also offer 15ah batteries to directly replace these, this would mean more miles per charge or more residual capacity left in the cells after a day's use which would mean a longer life overall, a very easy upgrade.
