Roma Medical is a reputable mobility scooter manufacturer and the Roma Denver S130 is a popular model that has features such as a front LED headlight, shopping basket and bigger wheels allowing for a smoother ride and more ground clearance.
The standard fit batteries for this model are two 12v 12ah AGM rechargeable batteries and this is what is on offer here. They are non-spill-able, non-hazardous, require no maintenance and safe for air travel however you do need to make the airline company aware of them. They are also easy to replace, you just need to remove the box from underneath your seat, turn it upside down and remove the screws, after that the lid will pop off and it’s as simple as swapping them over.
Charging your batteries is very important as most of the damage occurs when they are allowed to run flat, so please charge upon delivery and before first use although this should not take long as all our batteries are dispatched with sufficient charge. If a period of six weeks will pass without use then charge them to slow down the natural discharge rate.
Sometimes the batteries have screw-down terminals rather than normal push-on. Now you probably will not be able to get these, and if you can, they may not be the quality you would expect. The way around this is to convert the cables for future use. This can quickly be done by putting new terminal ends on yourself, or we have a bespoke set of ends that can be bolted on and available in the upgrade addition above. This only needs to be done once to future-proof your box.
