We have listed here information to help you make the decision of purchasing new mobility batteries for your Mercury Kite 3 & 4 scooter, it uses deep cycle batteries to store the energy required operate the motor for drive, they are 12ah cells, it uses two 12-volt batteries which is what we are offering here which are as clearly required rechargeable, they are safe to use indoors, not-hazardous and will not spill, more information on their chemistry make up will be found below.
When you receive the order from us you will note that the batteries will be almost fully charged, but it is important to charge them before first use, the charger will have lights on it indicating whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready, you may well just want to fit them and use the equipment but it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it might contribute to over life span.
You may or may not notice that it will take a few charges and associated use in your electric vehicle before the battery is capable of receiving a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, once you have used your electric vehicle then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, fully discharging your batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, if for any reason they is an extended period where you are not using the batteries make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours.
These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight.
