Replacement batteries for the Powerstart PS800 (formally Mega Boost MB800 PRO) and the Powerstart PS1224 (formally MB1224). These battery boosters are the mid range power packs produced by Powerstart, they are perfect for starting small petrol and diesel automobiles but also can handle light vans and trucks. The Powerstart PS1224 is able to switch between 12v and 24v so this is a very popular model.

The Powerstart PS800 requires a minimum of two 12v 18ah batteries but we highly recommend purchasing the higher ampere of 22ah, this will provide more power but more importantly will leave more residual charge in the battery after use which would greatly increase the lifespan of the battery. The Powerstart PS1224 however must have the 22ah as it is a more powerful machine and able to switch between 12v and 24v. For both battery booster packs we also supply an even more powerful battery dedicated for starting engines, normally for use in high end garages but anybody can use them, physically speaking they are the exact same as the 22ah. Installation of your new batteries should be quite simple and will only require common sense and some basic tools, you should always take care when doing so and refer to your manual. Firstly you will need to open the jump starter pack by unscrewing the screws, once open you will see two batteries inside, disconnect these batteries and slide the new batteries into place making sure the wires were the same as before. Replace the cover and you should be finished.

To prolong your batteries life you should take good care of it, you can do this by charging your battery fully before its first use and always place it on charge after using it but never for more than 24-hours. Also if you are not going to use it for a period of about 4-weeks you should top up the charge to keep it at peak condition.

Your old battery will be recyclable and so is your new one, this means that they can be broken down and made into new things, possibly even another battery!
