Replacement Pride Apex Rapid mobility travel scooter battery set: a pair of 12v valve-regulated sealed non-spillable batteries at low prices, direct from the warehouse.
The Pride-Apex Rapid mobility scooter is a travel scooter. It is set apart by the inclusion of independent front and rear CTS suspension, a feature often seen only on much larger pieces of equipment. The scooter obviously breaks down into much smaller parts for transportation in the back of a car or whatever.
This pack contains two valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. They will not leak and can be laid on their sides without fear of spillage; they are safe for public transport and pose no hazard.
Which box do you have?
From new, this scooter can have either the small 12Ah box or the larger 18Ah box; the batteries are a different physical size, so it's very important that you order the correct set. Not including the handle, the smaller box will be about 5" tall. The larger box will be over 6" tall. Make sure you order the correct size.
Now, if you have the smaller box, these can be upgraded to 14Ah. If you have the larger box, they can be upgraded to 22Ah. We also have 26Ah, but they are 1mm taller. They fit but are tight. All these options are above-and-below easy upgrades.
Installation
We have provided pictures of the larger box on this page. It has six screws that need to be undone from underneath (turn the box over to see them) with a Phillips screwdriver. Then there are two on the top, underneath the coloured panels, which clip off easily. Then you can see the batteries when you lift off the lid. Just change one at a time; you will not get confused by the wires.

No maintenance is required.
Charge your new batteries before first use. In general, you would be better advised to charge after every use. Leaving the cells in a discharged state for extended periods may be detrimental to the battery's life. If not being used for extended periods, do the same every two months.

This pack contains two batteries for the Pride Apex-Rapid mobility scooter. The size of each one is:
Length = 151mm
Width = 98mm
Height = 94mm.
As previously stated, these batteries are for the 12Ah version of this scooter. We can also supply them with a longer runtime of 14Ah using the easy upgrade above. If you have the larger box, the 18Ah can go to 22Ah, while the 26Ah will fit; it's very tight.
