The Pride Go-Go SC40LR is a compact travel mobility scooter, as standard it comes with a pair of 17ah batteries, this set are 18ah to directly replace them so already upgrading range. We can also offer a very easy upgrade path to 22ah for more miles per charge, more information is below. Even though the standard size battery pack is 17ah the 12ah pack will fit straight on to the scooter, so we have seen some fitted with the 12's instead. Whether that is to save money or because they are slightly lighter is not really important, what is important is to be sure what it is you have before ordering, so if you do not know we would suggest opening the box and have a look or see further down the page, as they are different physical size.

When you receive the order from us you will note that the batteries will be almost fully charged, but it is important to charge them before first use. While you only need to charge until the charger says its finished it is very important and not a step you should overlook. While you may well be tempted just to fit them and go it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start.
You may notice that it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal. Once you have used your electric vehicle then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can. Do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary. Never try to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span. If for any reason they is an extended period where you are not using the batteries make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours.
These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak, they are both AGM and VRLA therefore are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane. Of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight.

The 12ah box, main body not including the handles will be about 125mm or 4.5-inches high, the whole box including batteries will weigh approx 8.5-kilos, this box can take, 12ah, 12ah and 15ah as well as Lithium.
The extended 17ah box, again main body not including handles will be about 200mm high 7.75-inches and weight will be approx 13-kilos plus, this box can take 17ah, 18ah, 22ah and Lithium.
