The batteries that you receive from us in the order will be almost fully charged, but you should still charge them before first use, your charger will advise you when it has completed a charge. The light will change to indicate this, while you may well be tempted just to fit them and go it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start.
You may or may not notice that it will take a few charges and associated use in your electric vehicle before the battery is capable of receiving a full capacity charge, this is quite normal. Charge your new batteries after each and every use, they are capable of many charges but this will be reduced if you run them down in-between. You should never go out of your way to fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run. If there are long periods where you are not using the batteries you should recharge every four weeks and do not put them away discharged, even partially. Do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
These batteries are sealed lead valve regulated or VRLA and benefit from using AGM technology, this means they will not spill so can be used indoors or on the road without fear of leakage. They are not-hazardous so safe for use in travel including aeroplanes but you should check with your airline at time of booking.
