The Pro Rider Eydon is a class-2 Travel, car boot or pavement scooter, it's quoted as having a maximum range of eight miles with a top speed of four miles per hour on the standard 12ah batteries, which is what we are offering on this page. It is stated that it can support a maximum user weight of 21st or 135Kg.

Take care of your new Pro Rider batteries
The batteries we supply are sealed and will not leak making them suitable for travel and at the time of writing safe also for transportation via aeroplanes, you should, of course, speak to you arline at time of booking your flight.
They are AGM and do not require any maintenance, except of course charging. You should do so when the batteries arrive and first use, recharge as soon as you can after every use and if not being used then again every four weeks to keep the cells fresh. It's when the batteries are allowed to become and sit in a discharged state that the degrading of the cells can take place so it's worth abiding by this advice if you value the hit on your pocket. But please remember not just to leave them on your charger, just until fully charged then remove, overnight is fine, but not for weeks on end as this can do more damage than good.
Installation advice
Once you have received your new batteries from us you will of course want to install them and get going. Installing your new batteries is quite easy, you will only require a Phillips screwdriver and ten minutes of your time. The first thing you should do is turn your battery box upside down (on something soft so you don’t scratch it) so you can see a set of holes around the outside of the box. At the bottom of these holes are the screws which you need to undo and put to one side. Then roll it back the right way up and the box will split in two allowing you to access the batteries. Now all you have to do is remove the old batteries and replace them with the new ones, paying very close attention to which wire connects to which terminal. Put the lid back on and secure the box with screws.

Environmentally Friendly
Sealed lead batteries that these are, as the name might suggest having a lot of lead in them. Lead is a very precious metal that had to be taken from the earth but that also means it's recyclable and can be turned into something useful instead of going to a landfill. You should take your old batteries to your local recycling centre once you have finished with them, this also applies to your new batteries in years to come once they have supplied you with the freedom of using a mobility scooter.
